It’s great to see children having fun again on the six play areas now that the Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted.
However, it is important that people keep to the Government guidelines of Safe Distancing and wiping the equipment after use.
We have produced a Risk Assessment for each area which can be downloaded if required. (See below)
The areas on Fairfield Park contain diverse equipment providing fun and challenge for children up to the age of 14 with equipment designed to encourage experiential play, movement, fitness and learning. Originally, they were provided by developers in accordance with the terms of the 106 agreement that still governs Fairfield today.
They belong to Fairfield Park residents with maintainance and repair costs coming from our rent-charge. Regular monthly safety inspections are made in accordance with the law – an area handled by managing agents Scanlans – while an annual inspection is made as directed by ROSPA (The Royal Society for Prevention of Accidents).
This activity ensures our playgrounds longevity and more importantly that they remain safe. That said if you see anything that is out of place or doesn’t seem safe please don’t hesitate to report it to the FPRA by emailing [email protected] or to Scanlans direct [email protected].
