It’s been great to see the Urban Park being used as it was originally intended with the market-place area being used for the benefit of Fairfield residents. This developed during the COVID lockdowns and, we are pleased to say, is continuing.
The food stalls proved a welcome reprieve for us who have been unable to eat out and the two original vendors, La Crepe Franglaise and the Roaming Dough Pizzas, have proved very popular.

The original concept of the Urban Park was that the market area was available for local traders in a farmers’ market style, local organisations and charities to have fundraising stalls. We have been organising a quarterly market but requests to use it have been scarce so hopefully this is one bright spot to come out of the pandemic.
