As is the norm in the summer months, Fairfield is plagued by scrambler bikes being ridden around the shelter belts and the lagoons. At the point where the footpath from Brunel walk goes into the fields to get to the Blue lagoon, there were a series of wooden bollards and tree stumps limiting access to vehicles. Someone had rolled the tree stump out of the way.
At the behest of the FPRA, Hislop’s were asked to reinforce the line of bollards. The work was completed in August 2020.
