Perhaps the prettiest walk in Fairfield, and very different depending on the season. Fairfield is bounded on three sides by the tree shelter belts. These were originally planted in the 1800’s, and contain some very mature native species of trees. The shelter belt has a footpath and a bridal way, separated by a now very mature growth of smaller trees and shrubs. If you are lucky you can observe owls here. You can hear the sheep and lambs in the field on the other side of the trees.
